Crystal is responsible for the overall management and administration of Disability Support Services (DSS). Her duties include the continued development of DSS and leadership in offering appropriate services for UCA’s students with disabilities. Crystal works directly with students, faculty, and other professional staff to accommodate student needs in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (and other relevant statutes) including: evaluating documentation, identifying/coordinating appropriate reasonable accommodations, and referring students for support in developing appropriate compensatory strategies.
Crystal earned both her Master of Science in Vocational Rehabiliation Counseling and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Before coming to UCA, Crystal worked as a grant project coordinator at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock where she facilitated successful transition to postsecondary education for students with disabilities.
