Visiting Assistant Professor in Communication

The Department of Communication at the University of Central Arkansas seeks applications for a visiting assistant professor.  The position is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years.  We seek applicants committed to excellence in undergraduate education with the ability to teach a variety of courses, which will include research methods, communication theory, persuasion or interpersonal communication.  The applicant will also have the opportunity to teach a course in his or her area of expertise.  A Ph.D. in Communication is required, ABD will be considered.

 Visiting Lecturers in Communication

The Department of Communication at the University of Central Arkansas seeks applications for two (2) visiting lecturers.  The positions are for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years.  Visiting lecturers teach the Principles of Communication course, which focuses on communication foundations, interpersonal communication, group communication, and public communication.  Candidates should hold at least a Master’s degree in Communication.

The Department and the Program
The Department of Communication in the College of Fine Arts and Communication offers BA and BS degrees in Communication and Public Relations.  The Department has over 150 majors and minors.  The Public Relations major is intradisciplinary, drawing from courses in communication and mass communication as well as public relations.
