Arkansas State Science Fair 3/31 & 4/1

The 62nd Annual Southwestern Energy Arkansas State Science and Engineering Fair is being held Friday, 3/31, and Saturday, 4/1, at the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, AR, and is affiliated with the Society for Science and the Public’s International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). The State Science and Engineering Fair is open to students in grades 9-12 who have finished in the top 4 places in their respective categories at one of Arkansas’ regional ISEF-affiliated science fairs.

Day of Celebration of Women in STEM Friday, 3/3

The public is invited to a Day of Celebration of Women in STEM, Friday, March 3, 2017 at CNSM’s Lewis Science Center.  Professionals in STEM will be presenting in Computer Science, Biology, Physics and Chemistry, with a panel discussion at 1 pm, LSC 101.  Dr. Sethanne Howard of the US Naval Observatory will be presenting a lecture 4000 years of Women in Science in LSC 100 at 5:30 pm.  Please plan to come, learn, and enjoy!

More than 110 undergraduate students will present 70 posters highlighting their original research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Arkansas State Capitol Rotunda in Little Rock.

The University of Central Arkansas is the primary organizer of the event, with support and participation from the Arkansas STEM Coalition and Arkansas State University. This is the fifth year for the Arkansas STEM Posters at the State Capitol.
