Having been at UCA since 1965 I am now employed on a part-time basis. My current teaching assignments include Chemistry 1402 (Physiological Chemistry) and Chemistry 2401-3411 (Organic Chemistry I & II), I have a long standing interest in the development of investigative laboratory experiments for the sophomore organic course especially those that use spectroscopic methods of analysis. Paul Krause and I shared an interest in developing an interest in science among elementary school students presenting programs for students of this age for over 30 years. I continue that work on a limited basis. I serve as chair of the Premedical Advisory Committee. In that capacity I act as advisor to students majoring in premed-chemistry, serve as a resource for premed students regarding the application and admission process, and prepare the official recommendations from UCA that are required by medical school admissions committees. I also maintain the Chemistry Department web site and am particularly proud of the alumni page which provides detailed information about many of our former students.. I am also proud of my family all 20 of whom are all pictured below along with my lovely wife.
