Dr. Darshon Reed is the Associate Dean of CHBS & Interim Chair of Communication Sciences & Disorders. She is a native of Oklahoma and moved to the state of Arkansas in 2012 to join the Psychology & Counseling Department. Dr. Reed loves spending time with family and friends, serving at her local church, and traveling internationally. She also loves reading and conducting research related to motivation and applied psychology.
Dr. Reed is currently finishing up a grant project focused on increasing data science in psychology and working on a grant project with the Chemistry Department focused on increasing diversity in STEM and supporting students through a structured mentorship program. She will be working on a upcoming grant that will increase experiential learning opportunities focus on aging populations for students in the College of Health & Behavioral Sciences.
