  • Majors: Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Finance, Economics, Management or Marketing (Supply Chain emphasis or Statistics are a plus)
  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Graduating August 2015 to May 2017

Duties:

Job Title: Project Intern

Pay: $11-15/hour for 40 hours/week for minimum of 10 weeks (June 1-Aug 1) Note relocation costs and temporary short-term housing are available, but intern must arrange their own summer housing. Will offer contacts if requested, but no formal housing placement is available.

Requirements:

  • Open to students of all majors with a demonstrated interest in renewable energy, but especially to Environmental Science and any business major.
  • Ability to learn, understand and communicate technical issues effectively
  • Superb oral, presentation and written communication skills; strong quantitative skills
  • Keen, demonstrated interest in renewable energy as well as technical, public policy and/or regulatory issues
  • High organizational competency and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet time and resource constraints
  • Working knowledge of computer and online tools, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfort learning new software tools, including database software

Duties: Clean Line Energy is looking for a summer intern to support the development of our Plains & Eastern Clean Line electric transmission project that will deliver low-cost wind energy from the Oklahoma Panhandle region to Arkansas, Tennessee, and other states in the Mid-South and Southeast.

This position will be an integral part of the project development and outreach team and will support all of the development activities to bring the project to fruition. These activities include project management, commercial, technical and public outreach efforts and may include direct contact with the general public.

Students with a strong technical background could assist in interconnection, engineering, or other technical aspects of the project.

  • Support all development, outreach and permitting of a renewable energy transmission line
  • Work closely with project leader and other team members, including environmental and technical services, in project management activities including task tracking, database management and preparation of internal reports on project activities;
  • Prepare high quality presentations and written materials for internal and external audiences
  • Help local citizens understand the benefits of transmission lines and respond to questions regarding project impacts
