Faculty/Staff

Career Services works with faculty and staff to provide quality programs and services to UCA’s students and to help faculty, staff, students, and employers connect to promote opportunities for our students. Here are a few of the ways we can work together.

Career Fairs

  • Plan to attend to meet the employers interested in employing your students and to ease the way of your students by introducing and recommending them to those employers.
  • Encourage your students to attend the career fairs ready to participate in the mini interviews that will be taking place throughout the room.

Partner with Career Services by Participating in These Events

  • Spotlight Internship Program, October 2-4, 2017: Provide Career Services with a list of your classes that are available for this presentation which will require 20 minutes of class time at the beginning or end of the class period. A small group of students who have completed internships will come prepared to share information about what they did, how they found their opportunities, and what they’ve gained from their experiences. The goal of the program is to encourage other students to make internships part of their educational experience.
  • JumpStart: Designed for our Academic Success 1300 classes, this 50-minute presentation by a member of the Career Services’ team helps students see the connection between their career goals and their education, while sharing some strategic activities that they can be implementing every year to better position themselves for success in the post-graduation job market.
  • Career Executive Outlook, February 21-22, 2018: Provide Career Services with a list of your classes that are available for this presentation that requires the first or last 20 minutes of the class period.
