Camp Date: July 24-27, 2013
Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2013 IT Careers Camp. All who submitted a complete application will receive a letter no later than April 15, 2013. The letter will state that the applicant has been accepted, is on the wait list, or has not been selected to either. We had more applications this year than ever before, which unfortunately took longer than we expected to analyze.
We appreciate all who have applied!
ABOUT THE CAMP
This will be the seventh year in a row that this camp has been held. The IT Careers Camp is designed to heighten students’ interest in the Information Technology career – which is working with computers and related technology. The camp is designed to educate students about IT careers and to encourage them to continue their education beyond high school. Students will be part of a select group comprised of some of Arkansas’ brightest students as they learn about interesting and rewarding careers in IT. The camp is made possible by the generosity of Acxiom Corporation.
Second technology track for returning campers!
For the second year in a row, we invite previous IT campers to apply to take part in an advanced technology track. A camper from any previous year (2010-2012) may apply. We intend to build upon each student’s technical foundation by offering advanced technology tools and Acxiom campus visits.
CAMP GOALS
You’ll learn about the many careers that involve working with computers. This camp will be educational and rewarding! Our desire is to infuse campers with direction on the variety, breadth and depth of careers in technology.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Any student who is going to enter 9th grade through 12th grade in the Fall of 2013 may apply. This is more restrictive than previous years. We especially encourage previous campers to apply.
