The Arkansas Council of Teachers of English Language Arts has been named one of 8 recipients of the 2013 Affiliate Excellence Award, given by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The affiliate, whose president is Donna Wake, assistant professor, has won the award for the first time.
The Affiliate Excellence Award was established in 1996 to honor NCTE affiliates that meet high standards of performance for programming and promote improvement in English language arts teaching.
