Approximately 20 legislators from the Arkansas General Assembly visited with UCA staff and students at the Legislative Breakfast on Thursday, March 14.
The casual breakfast meeting allowed legislators to visit with staff and students, ask questions, and simply relax before moving into their respective legislative meetings. President Tom Courtway, Staff Senate President Stephanie McBrayer, and UCA Student Government Association President Spencer Sims greeted legislators.
Other UCA staff present were Vice President of Finance and Administration Diane Newton, Provost and Vice President for Academics Steve Rune, Executive Assistant to the President Gilbert Baker, Vice President for University and Government Relations Jeff Pitchford, Vice President for Advancement Shelley Mehl, Norb Schedler Honors College Director of Student Engagement Patricia Smith, Associate Director for Media Relations Fredricka Sharkey and Associate for Administration Connie Mae.
The UCA Student Government Association was also represented students Adam Price, Blake Brizzolara, Michael Murphy, Allison Rubio, and Justin Merkel.
