Senior Exhibition Information
Bachelor of Arts
Candidates in the Bachelor of Arts with emphasis in Fine Arts or Art Education are required to produce a senior exhibition of their work through the ART 4140 Portfolio Assessment III class. The BA Senior Exhibition is a display of the best work made in junior and senior level studio art classes and is juried by a panel of art professors in conversation with the student. Students also learn about installing and lighting work in a gallery setting. Senior Exhibitions are staged in the Baum Gallery at the ends of the fall and spring semesters.
Bachelor of Fine Arts
Candidates in the Bachelor of Fine Arts programs are required to produce a senior exhibition of the their work through the ART 4160-BFA Exhibit class. BFA exhibit is part of the BFA professional development courses that are designed to prepare students for their BFA exhibition and entry into the professional art community. Students will learn how to handle art and installation practices, prepare a portfolio of their work, and present a public lecture on their art and influences. The final show is staged in the Baum Gallery at the end of the fall semester, and again at the end of the spring semester.
