Rachel Trusty (2006 BA Art Ed Emphasis) is currently exhibiting work at the Second Floor Gallery, Historic Arkansas Museum.
Kristen Spickard ( 2009 BFA Photography Emphasis) accepted a position as Instructional Support Technician (with teaching duties) at Portland Community College in Portland, OR.
Jessica Camp ( Fall 2013 BFA Studio Art: Painting Emphasis) had work accepted for the 2014 Delta Exhibition at the Arkansas Arts Center. The work selected was Weeping Lamentation from her BFA Senior Exhibition.
Matt TerAvest (Fall 2005 BA in Art Education Emphasis) was named as one of the three Stephens Awards winners Spring 2014. Each year, three high school teachers in the municipality of Little Rock (including public, private, and charter schools) are selected for the award, which carries a $10,000 prize. Matt has been teaching at Hall High School in Little Rock since graduating from UCA.
Mary Hull (BA Fine Art 2010) isa graphic designer and program developer for Transforming Uganda, an organization with offices in Uganda and Texas.
Jordan Karpe (BA Fine Arts Emphasis 2012) secured grants for and is serving as lead artist on the Conway Community Mural @ Chestnut. The mural is supported in part by an award from Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Arkansas Arts Council and foundations, corporations and individuals throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. Additional support is generously provided by the Conway City Council, Conway Corporation, the Corbitt Family, Hugg and Hall Construction & Industrial Equipment, Sherwin-Williams, and Hiegel Supply. Working with Jordan are current UCA art majors Karen Chrisco, Hector Garcia, Brittany Madalone, and Monica Vargas, as well as alumni Lauren Crymes(BFA Painting Emphasis 2009), Kristen Farmin (BA Art Education Emphasis 2012), Patricia Graves (BA Art Education Emphasis 2012), Julie Isom (BFA Painting Emphasis 2013), Kenneth Nelson (BA Fine Arts Emphasis 2012), and Beth Norwood (BA Art History Emphasis 2009).
Brandon Mathis, (2007 BA Fine Arts and 2010 BFA Sculpture emphasis) was awarded one of twelve three-month-long summer fellowships at Ox-Bow on Lake Michigan in Saugatuck, MI. Brandon is currently working on his MFA at Hunter College of the City University of New York.
