The Art Education Club is the UCA Student Chapter of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) and the Arkansas Art Educators (AAE). The mission of the Student Chapter is to prepare future art teachers for the professional field of art education by providing a platform for the students to develop leadership skills, direction in their degree programs, community service and resources for their future classrooms. Members are given opportunities for professional development by participating in state and national conferences. Several past and current members have received awards of excellence and presented conference sessions at the state and national levels. The Art Education Club sponsors Dinner with an Art Teacher events, where local art educators come and dine with students and discuss topics related to the realities of art education each semester. Some past topics include: How to balance your professional art career with your art education career; current legal issues in education; and teaching art students with exceptionalities (disabled and exceptional students). Art Education Club members also volunteer through several community organizations and on-campus art workshops for children.

AHA! seeks to promote the appreciation of the visual arts by sponsoring trips to exhibitions and museums, public art on campus, and public talks by artists, art professionals, and scholars. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month during x-period in McAlister 309. Some past events include: the Alumni Circle Competition, Conway Community Mural, College Art Association conference, a trip to the Pre-Raphaelite exhibit at the St. Louis Museum of Art, ArtsFest, volunteering for the Black Box student gallery, and lunches with the Artists in Residence. The mission of the UCA Clay Club is to increase interest and involvement in the ceramic arts at UCA and to provide opportunities for ceramics students to become involved in extracurricular events and planning that utilize, promote and encourage their skills in and knowledge of the field.  The major objectives are  to organize a major fund-raiser  in the form of a ceramics sale, the proceeds of which are used to send clay club members  to the National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts Conference (NCECA) and to  create and execute one major fund-raiser which has been the Soup Bowl Benefit to support a non profit arts organization in the region.  In the past the Soup Bowl Benefit has raised over $1000 to donate to an art teachers cooperative for supplies , a domestic violence shelter to buy materials for an art therapy program and the Little Rock Airforce base to provide art supplies for children on the base.  The Clay Club also takes field trips to museums and galleries as a way to supplement their arts education by allowing them to see ceramic work in person.  In the past few years the club has gone to Portland, Oregon; Louisville, Kentucky and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the NCECA conference and last year took a field trip to Chicago.
