Male student in science classComing to the University of Central Arkansas as an international student from Rwanda, I am so thankful for the sense of community here. The school is diverse and the campus is beautiful. Living on campus my freshman year gave me the chance to meet a lot of people; so my sophomore year, I became a resident assistant in order to get to know even more students and help others find their place on campus.

As a part of the Honors College and the physics program, I have really gotten to know and appreciate my professors who are always there for me and encourage me to conduct research projects alongside them. After joining the Society of Physics Students at UCA, I also became a mentor to other physics students. I am doing my best to take advantage of all the opportunities that UCA provides, and there are many!
