Emily

Female student in science labI’m only halfway done with my undergraduate studies at UCA, but my education has already taken me halfway around the world.  I’ve been able to travel to Rwanda through UCA’s study abroad program, where I participated in service-learning projects related to my major in pre-med biology.

I also have the opportunity to conduct research as an undergrad – an opportunity only afforded to grad students at most institutions.  Because of UCA, I’m already doing meaningful work in my future career field and I’m already making a difference in the world.  My undergrad work with breast cancer research, along with UCA’s overall academic reputation, is going to set me apart as I apply to med school in the future.

UCA made the transition from high school to college easy, and I love that the campus is beautiful and not too big.  I’m able to be part of everything from Greek life to The Bear Den (UCA’s school pride organization).  The opportunities at UCA aren’t just resume-building, they’re life-changing – and they put me and my education front and center.
