Adam

Male student sitting on couch using iPadI’m a pre-med biology major at UCA, and one of the things I love most about my school is the unique opportunities I have to set myself up to succeed in med school and in my career. At UCA, undergrad students are able to conduct research, which isn’t the case at most other institutions. Here, I’m doing chemistry research focused on nanotechnology. I’ve also coauthored a research paper with a faculty member.

Something else about UCA that sets it apart and sets me apart is The Schedler Honors College. UCA’s Schedler Honors College is one of only 10 in the country with its own faculty – a commitment to academics that makes it one of the premier living and learning environments nationally.

I’ve had internship opportunities through my pre-med classes as well – where I’ve been able to work with general physicians and specialists, and observe surgeries. In addition to all of the experience related to my major, I’m also vice president of UCA’s Student Government Association and a member of a fraternity on campus. Of course, I still make time for football tailgating fun on Bruce Street, as UCA puts me front and center for everything that lies ahead.
