The Affirmative Action Officer reviews advertisements for all employee positions for wording and publication placement. This officer also reviews the search and screening process before an offer of employment is made. Advertisements for faculty and non-classified positions are placed in the Chronicle of Higher Education on a routine basis and most departments advertise in publications related to an academic discipline or associated with a unit’s function. Advertisements for classified positions are placed in local and statewide publications. Positions are advertised in the Log Cabin Democrat and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette when appropriate. Position announcements are also posted on appropriate internet sites. Additionally, each classified position vacancy that occurs on the UCA campus is listed with the Employment Security Division of Arkansas.
