The Arkansas Department of Health has confirmed two cases of mumps involving UCA students, both of whom live off campus, and several others are still being investigated.
As you may be aware, mumps is an ongoing concern in the state. The Arkansas Department of Health reports that there are currently more than 1,200 cases being investigated in Arkansas.
ADH is working closely with UCA to stop the spread of mumps. They will be monitoring the situation closely. If the outbreak continues to spread, additional steps may be needed. They are keeping our student health officials informed.

Our APN's have National Certification as Family Nurse Practitioners.
All 5 providers have Prescriptive Authority.

WHO WILL KNOW about my visit?
The Student Health Clinic will not disclose your medical information to anyoneunless YOU give your written permission for us to do so. This means we will not tell your roommates, your friends, the faculty, staff, or even family members about any of your appointments, phone calls to our nurses, or visits with our providers and staff unless we have received a signed Permission for Release of Medical Information from you.
